We seek highly driven and dynamic individuals, including a digitally savvy Marketing Communications Manager. You will play a crucial role in establishing and expanding our brand visibility and you’ll have the opportunity to own our marketing activity across the software testing, circular tech, and education industries.
Primary Role
As our Marketing Communications Manager, you will be crucial in building and managing our brand and marketing presence. You’ll be the first hire into the marketing team, so we’re looking for a pro-active self-starter, who enjoys being hands-on, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and happy to challenge current marketing strategies and activities. You’ll report to and work closely with the Director of Marketing & Communications and be trusted to work independently with the rest of the business; strong communication skills are essential. Previous agency or start-up experience is a bonus.
This campaign-heavy role would suit marketing generalists who enjoy variety and being hands-on across all areas of marketing, including digital content creation, email marketing, website and content management, social media (organic and paid), and data analysis. You will be willing to learn, very digital-savvy, and have experience taking a campaign from start to finish and analysing its impact. Specialisms in graphic design, video production, and/or creative writing would be highly advantageous.
You will manage digital marketing campaigns and create compelling content, and your work will directly contribute to lead generation, brand awareness, and building a strong online presence.
Your day-to-day role will include:
Digital marketing management
- Using our CRM to build marketing automations, create and send newsletters, you’ll create campaigns to engage, help and support our customers, generating qualified leads for the Sales team to follow up. You’ll oversee email and social media campaigns and analyse data to continuously optimise marketing funnels and customer e-commerce experience on the Cambrionix website
Content creation
- Creating engaging and consistent marketing collateral, maintaining the brand tone of voice across all content and use data to find interesting and valuable content opportunities to drive engagement
Internal and external communications
- Work with internal teams, such as Engineering, to identify interesting content opportunities
- Support with internal comms through the creation of weekly updates to share business-wide activity
- Communicate updates on marketing developments and initiatives, champion the company culture and brand story and share insight with the sales team
Events and agency management
- Manage the strategy, logistics and messaging for events, as well as managing relationships with external agencies to optimise and support marketing efforts
You will have
- 5+ years of experience working in a STEM sector business and/or tech/engineering environment
- You will have a degree or equivalent in marketing, communications, design or media production-related areas OR as an alternative to academic qualifications; demonstrable experience/portfolio of building a brand following in the B2B or B2C space
- Ability to translate complex technology into simple, engaging content
- Strong knowledge of inbound marketing best practices
- Experience with website management, CRM usage, and building campaign flows in marketing automation tools
- Excellent content creation and copywriting skills
- Strong project management skills, ensuring timely delivery within budget
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable at problem solving
Salary
From £40-60k depending on experience
